Gratitude Journal for 21st Jan 2022

 

  • TGIF! Cant believe we already finished T1W3, in a blink of an eye. The new year is not so new anymore, as very soon we'll be one month into it. (gratitude entry #12)
  • We had our first staycation last weekend, managed to get an awesome premiere room that looked like a junior suite with both city and garden view.
  • It's been a week since I last did my workout. I'm so determined to catch up this weekend. (workout #08)
  • I'm looking forward to CNY hols, which is coming up in a week's time.

Gratitude Journal for 19th Jan 2022

  • Rushed home for a meeting and thanks to that I get to nap after the meeting and finally see the doctor as  I was feeling under the weather for days but didnt have time to go to the clinic. 
  • Had the first phase of our HIP (home improvement projects) a week ago and I got too busy to pen down my gratitude and thoughts as time flew past

Gratitude Journal for 12th Jan 2022

  • Glad that I survived mid-week, it's been a long and tiring day as its my 'long day'. I went to help out with CNY celebration prep after that. I only felt the fatigue on my way home and I was too tired to move after I got home. 
  • P was working late as well so we just wanted a fast and quick option for dinner. We went Saizeriya again so we do not need to clean up after dinner and we can rest. 

  • I ordered pasta this time but did not enjoy it as much, think carbs is not for me plus I was tired and I'll stick to meat seafood and greens next time. 
  • I took a nap while waiting for P to come home but I only felt better again after I rested more after dinner. So I'm not as dazed or stoned anymore while I'm penning down these thoughts. 
  • I'm looking forward to tomorrow, I'll be home early for the delivery of shoe cabinet, installation of our digital lock and water purifier set. (gratitude entry #10)

Gratitude Journal for 11th Jan 2022

  • First SC today! Fortunately it did not end too late as I was super sleepy and dazed today, probably I'm still not used to the back to school routine as afternoon meetings and lessons just started this week.
  • I'm super lucky to have P around as he bought dinner home, asked me to just go for a nap after eating and he cleared up the mess.
  • I was energized after a short nap and lazed around, did my workout finally! Seriously, always feeling good after a workout and I should try to do at least 3 per week. (workout #06)
  • Did a short meditation last night and I guess I slept well. (meditation #03)

Gratitude Journal for 10th Jan 2022

  • Survived first CT and SDD for this year, this is also the first working Monday for me in 2022, so I'm here just to pen down that we survived! 
  • We also had been dreading staying behind after the long meetings to prepare for the CNY celebration, but we pulled it off and even had some fun and a lot of laughter. I do love my team and my coworkers. 
  • I slept so much over the weekend that I felt that I was constantly awake even though my eyes were closed and I did my meditation and tried to drift off to sleep last night. (meditation #2)

Gratitude Journal for 9th Jan 2022

  • First weekend of January (after school reopened) is over, and all we've done was sleep sleep sleep. I should say I'm very well rested by now, hopefully I'm recharged for T1W2 which is getting busy busy.
  • Binge watched and finished Emily In Paris and Single Inferno on Netflix this weekend. Didnt feel like doing anything else except for sleeping and watching netflix. It's bad but felt so good at the same time. 
  • Went driving lesson on Saturday, but I skipped my workout again.
  • Weather was warm and I thought I should try swimming at the pool right in front of our doorsteps, we took a nap and only went for a short swim at 9pm+. Only 6 laps for me but better than none. (workout #05)
  • This afternoon, we wanted to try Buddy Hoagies or the hawker food near our place but P did not find anything he liked so we were back at Saizeriya again. (gratitude entry #07)

  • TGIF TGIF TGIF! I've done lots of things out of routine for today, skipped my workout, skipped my driving lesson, got home early and nap nap nap...

Gratitude Journal for 6th Jan 2022

 Today was a good good day, and I'll tell you why...

  • Things got into routine by today, waking up by 5.40am, reached school at 6.30am and so on...
  • I left school really early today since there wasnt anything on in the afternoon, things will get busy soon! I shall treasure my precious me time while I can
  • I took two naps, one after my lunch (yummy maki san mega san salad) back at home and one after my dinner
  • Despite that, I managed to do my workout today, yeah! (workout #4)
  • Did my quick hair and skin-care routine, pampered my feet and now here I am, with my gratitude journal (gratitude entry #5)
  • As I mentioned last night, I did my meditation before sleep and it felt good (meditation #1)

Gratitude Journal for 5th Jan 2022

  • Didnt do my workout today as its the first real day I met my classes and I was quite tired. I guess it's fine to  have a rest and recovery day, plus I was feeling sore after my nap earlier. I'll probably make up for it by having a meditation session before sleep later. Way to happiness!
  • First day I met my classes, they were fine and goody goody, even for my 'darling' from last year. I know there'll be days I'll be pulling my hair out but I'll think of ways to handle it. Way to go!
  • Met the team for the CNY celebration, it's a challenge for us always but great satisfaction when we pull it off. The coming weeks and days are going to be busy!

Gratitude Journal for 4th Jan 2022

  • First day of school went smoothly 
  • No meeting today! So we went off early and had a nice chat over a relaxing lunch, very rare for the first day of school as chaos started

  • It was a rainy day, had early dinner with P and then napped for two hours, shiok!

Gratitude Journal for 3rd Jan 2022

Things I'm grateful about:

  • I'm alive! Life is great!
  • We have this off-in-lieu today so tomorrow is the first day of school and that's for the P1s only, due to COVID. More time to ease into starting of the school year.
  •  I did my January nails, it's actually designed by my five years nail artist Eileen (I realised it's been five years after reading my blog from Jan 2017). She's really awesome and we did CNY nails today.

  • I'm glad I'm taking time the night before school reopen to pen down my gratitude. (gratitude #02)

  • I had this instant noodles thing call 'luo si fen' for lunch, something I bought from the U-mart downstairs, it satisfied my cravings but I've to admit its not too healthy and doesnt help with my digestive issues. Once in a while, folks. 



  • After having a nap, I realised it was raining outside. I didnt want to go for my driving lesson but I did, as this was the last session before school reopen. I met up with my primary school mate W for dinner and I was glad we can catch up few times a year.


 


  • After reaching home I let the ramen digest a bit and did my workout at 11pm. I had a recovery day yesterday as my legs are not used to running anymore, plus the weather was bad. I'm just glad I did another day of workout, my second for this year! (workout #2)

Gratitude Journal for 2nd Jan 2022

 Things I'm grateful for today:

  • It's been a rainy 2022 so far and today was a rainy Sunday. I love the rain.
  • I slept a lot, binge-watched 'Single's Inferno' till 7am and I went to bed. Ahhh... I love the weekend.
  • I went for my driving lesson and it was fine driving in the rain and I believe I did well.
  • Went for early dinner at Saizeriya with P and its the one place we've ate twice in the kovan area so far, we love cheap italian dining. 
  • We had dinner before 6pm so P cooked some instant noodles and we had late night supper. We have not bought a dining table but we loved eating in the kitchen and just sitting around the countertop area. 
  • Life is great!

First post of 2022

So time flies and once again I'm here doing the cliche task of posting the first post of 2022. In a nutshell, I'll summarise 2021 with the following:

  1. Another year that I didnt post that much, only a grand total of 10 posts and I stopped updating in June. That was after we boarded the Royal Carribean and had a really great time and had too much stuff to update and I got lazy. 
  2. The most important thing that happened in 2021 was that we suddenly decided to sell our place in July, sold our place in two weeks and bought a new home in another two weeks.
  3. P and I are finally settled down and finished unpacking everything at our new house on the last day of 2021. Honestly, it was a roller coaster ride and we do missed Bishan which was our first matrimonial home, even a bit regretful right after we sold it but I have to say I do love the new house a lot now. 
New Year's Eve was a very mellow affair, P was busy putting his stuff away and I was home the whole day, sleeping a lot. His bff came over with a lot of food, we ate and then I just welcomed 2022 with what I usually do, chatting with my friends over whatsapp and sitting in front of my MacBook. It was a very rainy NYE and even today there was a slight drizzle for parts of the day. 


To start the year right, I told myself the day is so cooling and I must get my workout done. For most of December I actually did my home workout daily, only missing a few days. But we got too busy when moving day came on 20th December so I stopped for around 10 days. We went out for a walk on the wee morning of boxing day to explore the neighbourhood so I have a slight idea where the nearest pcn is. 

Anyway, it's a new playground for me now, I do miss Bishan Park as it's a very nice and safe environment. However, during today's run I realised I do enjoy a change of scenery and it was a motivation for me. There was a slight drizzle but the rain never came down hard enough to interrupt my run, it was very cooling and very nice to do the new route in this weather. As usual, most people made the new year resolution so keep healthy and exercise more, so there were people jogging and cycling for most part of the route but I would say it was less crowded than the kallang pcn next to Bishan stadium and Bishan Park.

I had intended to stop at 3km and turn back, but decided to explore on and went on to Punggol area since I could feel the motivation to go on. I had wanted to hit Punggol MRT and then take the train back but it was getting dark and quiet and there were still 2km more to go so I headed to the nearby rivera LRT and took the train home. I'll leave Punggol MRT as my quest to be fulfilled on another day.
