Hey hey, look up there!
Woah.. hope you guys will like the change of the layout. Heehee, I'm not so bhb enough to go create something like that using photoshop. Look carefully, will ya? This most popular and famous street on Earth is actually found in Sydney, Australia.
Was really surprised when Danping's favourite sister and bro-in-law went for their honeymoon a few years back and took a picture of the street name to show me the existence of a street named after me. Heehee.. I'm surprised by their thoughtfulness as digital camera wasn't that popular back then, and they actually wasted a few minutes out of their honeymoon and used up a picture in their roll of film to bring the picture back to me. Wonderful peeps yeah? Recently, a friend of mine who is studying in Sydney saw the road too, was amazed by it and he sent the above picture to me. Wow, I'm really honoured, it's like the tourist hot spot of Sydney, so you'll be sure to visit the place when you're in Australia. Okay? You heard about local places like Boon Keng Road, Bo Seng Avenue yah? See the similarities here? They're all named after famous people!! Wahahhahahahha...
Okay, okay.. I better cut the crap here and stop swelling with pride.

Alrighto, why am I so sentimental of a sudden? Well, maybe it's because I saw the above few lines in a email Nic sent and I remembered hearing the phrase in 音乐日记 before. Coincidentally I read the latest blog that Dr Sheep wrote and also finished watching the 2nd season of 'Sex and the City' last night. The ending was a sad one as Mr Big (his name said it all!), Carrie's love in the show suddenly got engaged with another girl at the end of the whole series. And the last question that Carrie asked him was "Why not me?" It was so, so, so sad. I must be sounding like a lunatic to people who are reading my blog and not having watched the show. So let me tell you the story a bit more. Introducing.. Big and Carrie.
Big (that's really his name!), is a guy that Carrie got acquainted to and starting dating in the first season. He's charming, he's rich, hunky and so on, the perfect guy for Carrie! Somehow, you'll know that he's the main guy for Carrie in the show as there's always special effects during his appearance like using slow motion etc, hahaaa..you get what I mean if you watch the sitcom. However, they broke up at the end of the first season (I'm suspecting it's going to happen for the remaining seasons as well =P) due to the fact that Big didn't want to introduce Carrie as his girlfriend to his mum. It was quite funny despite the fact that Carrie was sad. So for the first few episodes of the 2nd season I've watched about how she's got over with the breakup, dated other guys.. but somehow Big came back into her life again. And this time round, I've started to like this Big character more as he seemed to have changed, and their relationship improved. It was quite sweet. Well, I was really enjoying it till they got to the part where Big was supposed to move to Paris due to work. Carrie was upset with him for not factoring her into his decision making process. Once again their relationship had fallen through again due to commitment problems, and he left. A few weeks later, the biggest irony happened when he got engaged to another girl. How could he!
Maybe you still don't understand why it's saddening. It's saddening because the scriptwriter is a genius, or so I thought. Certain things portrayed in the show just seemed so real in our daily lives, and I was like thinking a lot about these issues after watching the show. Sometimes people just don't ended up marrying the person that they love the most, they marry the ones who came along at the right moment. Isn't it true? Or maybe contemporary Singaporeans are spoilt for choices, just look at the headlines of this morning's paper.. "Divorce Rate on the rise", how encouraging it is! =P Sigh.. let's move on.
Hahaha..anyway, I'm not into discussing about relationships on my blog. So we jump to the next thing. Photos!

We took this photo with Hock Sui holding on to the camera and I'd forgotten to turn off the 'zoom', but anyway we thought it turned out quite artistic. =P
We tried using the tripod instead as I was experimenting with the different gadgets of the camera. Anyway, the tripod is not the lanky kind so it's rather lame..

Yo! I'm in the blogging mood tonight as there's no lessons the next 3 days for me! Haven't been staying up till such late hours for a long long time. Yeah.. Yippie!! You can be surprised how teachers are even more looking forward to holidays as compared to the students. And the even better news is that I'm going Tioman for a leisure trip over the weekend to celebrate this mid-NIE enrichment-break. Heehee.... No diving though I've been looking forward to dive at Tioman for ages, it's sort of like an impromptu decision but I'm still happy!
Anyway, I've gotten a G-mail account for myself after hearing about how people are dying to associate their name and nickname with @gmail.com. How can I resist that? Hahahaa.. The super-duper wonderful thing about G-mail is the 1000MB of mail space, where else can you get such a good deal? Anyway, I've gotten a very creative email address that is sizzling hot. Despite the popular name, I've snatched it first.. Yeah! Now you guys can email me at yurong@gmail.com to tell me how wonderful I am. No kidding! I'm serious.. =)
Okay, let me abruptly jump to the next topic. I must buck up with my blogging as I've been hogging this wonderful blog page for the past 2 years and this is only my 191st entry. While Danping is already celebrating her 303rd!!! Oh man.. I must buck up!! Or, or, I'm starting to suspect that the blog counter for blogger is not working that well. Hehehehe.. *sheepish*
Oh well, let me warn you that this is going to be a very long blog. The zzZZ bug had hardly hit me even though it's almost 3am. I'm even thinking of catching a few more episodes of 'Sex and the City' before I turn in later. Carrie is so cool while Samantha is ever funny with her horny plus slutty comments. Hahaha..lots of funny puns for you to laugh your heart out after a busy day at work.
For your information, I'm still at the 2nd season (my sis had already gotten the final season a week ago). I'm quite lousy at catching up with TV show or sitcoms.. there's many many DVDs/VCDs lying around at my place but I hardly have the time to go watch them. Think I'm not really interested at developing a close knitted relationship with the TV anyway. But 'Sex and the City' is a real good one, considering the fact that I've never watched any episode of 'Friends' before, it must be real cool to catch my attention.
Okay, though I'm intending this to be a longer post than this BUT my eyes are closing from uploading photographs onto the net. I'm turning into a panda. Will show you the wonderful photos taken by my 'Mr Right' in my next blog. Heehee.. yawn..

Hey, seems that everyone else is also in a blogging dry spell? Hmm.. even Xiaxue hadn't been updating her blog. I'm bored.
Anyway, want to announce that I had finished a module at NIE just over the past 8 days!! Oh man, it's like a gifted programme where we are cramming a semester worth of work over the past few days. Time at NIE seems to be passing fast, so far I didn't even have the chance to start feeling much even though Hock Sui had flew off on Monday. Again. Yep, think I'm already quite used to it, or had been anticipating it for so many many months. 厉害吧? Moreover I was terribly sick over the past few days, the whole class know that I was really at a bad state as I had to drag myself back to class and was coughing so loudly during the lectures. It's quite a dread to miss lessons as the intensive course is rushing on like mad.
Heehee... I've made a good company of friends at NIE, so had been having fun there. I guess we are really comrades at dealing with the horrible kids out there in future, comrades at sharing the latest gossips about the lecturers and classmates, it's fun! I must be a freak as I actually enjoyed learning Chinese Grammar. Ever learnt nouns, verbs and adjectives during your grammar lessons? How about learning it in chinese as 名词,动词形容词.. and so on. There's already 11 main categories of those and even more sub categories. Opps..everyone is falling asleep! Okay, won't bore you with the details. =P

My "Mr Right"
Hey hey, Aileen had been complaining about the inacitivity of my blog later, I think all my fans are dying out there too. So here I am! =) It's really an enormous blog dry spell. A few nights ago I tried to come in and blog about my new life at NIE (though it's not really that interesting) but blogger was down! Or maybe under some kind of maintenance? Anyway, we'll talk about NIE later, I'm so excited as I'm here to introduce my baby to you guys... ta da!!!
Panasonic DMC-FX1
I've named it "Mr Right", so now I've found my Mr Right! Hahahhaa.. Ok ok, I better stop sounding so kuku!! Last night, I've been experimenting around but haven't really muster the manual functions yet. I promise to turn this blog into a photojournal after I've learnt how to take nice photos, hee hee.. Aileen was the kind soul that brought me to Sim Lim to get my digicam, I must announce her name loud here to make her feel proud hah. Anyway, we've got lots of freebies as there's a Panasonic fair at the moment, so there's many good stuff bundled with the camera during the promotion, best buy! I think I'm feeling much more satisfied with all this freebies and the guy who sold me the digicam even gave Aileen a cleaning kit free of charge!! Hee..we quite gian-bng lah, left the place feeling happy and excited. But since I was with a shopping queen, not surprising that we headed over to Bugis Junction where the GSS is on. There's really lots of nice clothes at Bugis and I felt so much like buying everything. But too bad my wallet doesn't allow me shop till I drop after making such a hafty purchase.. Sigh..
Hey, I've realised that all of a sudden I'm having difficulties stringing up my sentences and trying to make sense out of them. Argghh.. wanted to talk about the digicam but the words just doesn't come out properly. Don't tell me this is the after-effects of studying chinese grammar intensively for the past week! Hmm..do you sound I'm sounding a tad weird in this blog? =P
By the way, Merry and Pippin are still stuck with the ents. Legolas haven't traveled far yet as I haven't been picking up the book for weeks already... Maybe will catch up with them this weekend. =)

G mail?
According to Xiaxue's blog, G-mail is exclusively for active bloggers.. and maybe pretty ones like me? Hee hee.. Everytime I log onto blogger, I can see that there's an icon on the right side asking me to sign up for G-mail. So if that's true, I'm on the VIP list of bloggers! Wow!!! Hey, tell me if you get to sign up for G-mail as well.
I haven't created any account yet, as I don't really need another email addie. But just want to feel exclusive..hee hee.. like on the dean's list like that.. =P
