Christmas at Lijiang, China (Yuhuan wasn't in this shot) Posted by Hello

Was looking through my photos to find a shot with the five of us when we were at China last Decemeber. I realised that we didn't have one taken then, and this is the closest.. with Xiaofen in place of Yuhuan. We were in the hotel room just after midnight of Christmas 2004, it had been a tiring day but we were too excited to sleep.

As I looked at all those photos, it seemed so long ago.. not just half a year gone since I went to China with the OEP (YEP) team. Missed those days...

Happy 18th Birthday!

Yuhuan with the cake Posted by Hello

It's Yuhuan 18th birthday today (7th May), we celebrated for her in advance when we met up on Thurs. Oh man, 18 years old... that's so long ago for me. Other than the A's, I won't mind to relive that age again. =P

Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom of Heaven Posted by Hello

Caught Kingdom of Heaven after our sumptuous meal, on the day it was screened! And, I must say that the main attraction of the movie is *drumroll please*... Orlando Bloom! Well, I don't think anyone would disagree with me unless he/she is the kind who simply loves historical war flick.

Other than a dramatic plot and handsome male lead, the movie depicted the very sensitive issues of religions (war between Christians and Muslims). As a non-history student, I don't really know whether it's a real protrayal of what happened in ancient Jerusalem. However, it's quite clear that after Osama pulled off his stunt 4 years ago, this movie is up for critics. A good thing is that the whole message at the end of the movie is quite clear: World peace! No more fighting! I find it quite ironic as humans were killed like ants in the movie, and the typical war scenes are oh-so-familiar after the LOTR trilogy. In my eyes, such historical war movies is quite cliche now and no matter how much money is thrown into making the film, it don't impress anyone anymore. Just give me a break, and move on to something else, please...

Orlando Blooooooom

365 days with Orlando Posted by Hello

Of course, Orlando as Balian is the eye-candy throughout the whole movie, and this time round he gets all the limelight from the beginning till the end. I would say that he's almost tailor-made for such historical heroic role. Just imagine him without the long hair, and clean shaven... he'll look so out-of-place. Even as a calendar man, he needs to maintain this ruggedly handsome look, like he's ready to change into his costume and go off for war anytime.

The Elf

Don't you think he looks simply irresistible here? Posted by Hello

I still thinking being a elf suits him best, and he looks the best when he's acting like one in LOTR. Maybe the fact that he's inhuman just makes him even more irresistible, what do you guys think? Hahhaa..
